I went on live television with a giant foam watermelon sticker on the back of my cowboy boot.
I didn’t even notice
until later that day as I was removing the boots from my tired feet. Thankfully the camera angle was favorable and
the sticker was hidden up against the couch where I was seated, chatting with
the hosts of the ‘Your Carolina’ morning show.
I had to laugh when
I saw it there. The kids and I had used
them as part of a ‘fruit of the spirit’ activity. Watermelon represented faithfulness – how appropriate.
