for me our beach trip was the gift of slowing down, listening instead of talking, simple pleasures, an overall highly successful recalibration of my life. during the 3 days we were there i actually read one entire book (the shack...check it out!), penned a few entries in my journal, heard from God as i read his word, had deep conversations with my husband, slept in the sun, ate fresh seafood, shared the gift of the beach with my daughter for the first time...

for lucy it was one more amazing discovery...i wish i knew what was going through her little head as she stood mesmerized with her feet in the sand. i wonder if she thought "this is the biggest bathtub i've ever seen!" i'm just so glad that she liked it because being the beach lover that i am she'll be spending a lot of time there!
