eyelashes...

every day i am amazed at the precious little ways lucy grows and changes.  lately joey and i have been particularly in awe of her eyelashes - once non-existent, they are now growing longer and fuller every day!  looking back at pictures of her in her first week of life i realize how much she has developed...her little personality is really starting to show.  she's smiling so much and trying her darnedest to talk and laugh.  who would have thought that a tiny little thing could bring such joy into our lives.  it's hard to remember our family without her.  we continue to correspond with amy which is such a gift.  i truly miss her and think of her every day when i look at lucy.  i think that more and more as i see the child that lucy is becoming i am grateful beyond measure for amy's decision to give her life and place her in our family.  i just finished making a collage of pictures for lucy's room.  i included pictures of amy so that she can be familiar with the face of the precious person with whom her story began...

...i am including a few pics from "cow appreciation day" at chick-fil-a.  being the chick-fil-a nut that i am, lucy and i (along with our friends Corinne and Dylann) dressed up as cows to get free lunch last week : )
